Our Sustainability Strategy

Our ambition and our policy

As a family business, sustainable business practices are an integral part of our operations. ‘Focused on the Future’ is one of our four core values, and sustainability is an integral part of our strategy. Since 2011, we have published our annual progress report on Corporate Social Responsibility, and our ambition is to be a leader in sustainability within our sector. This means we are at the forefront of making our supply chains and products more sustainable by reducing our climate impact and improving animal welfare. Sustainable business is an ongoing process. It does not happen by itself; it is an action. We therefore pursue a pragmatic and concrete sustainability policy that is supported by the entire organisation. This enables us to address all aspects of our business operations and to proactively achieve both our own and our customers’ sustainability objectives.

Our sustainability policy is based on four pillars:

Double Materiality Analyses and IRO proces

In line with the requirements of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), we reviewed our materiality analysis at the end of 2023. We use a systematic approach to this process so that we can identify the most significant ESG and sustainability issues. The process for identifying and assessing IROs (Impacts, Risks and Opportunities) is outlined below. The DMA will be reviewed in 2026.

Stakeholders

As a producer of meat and convenience products, we play an important role in society and within the supply chain. Collaboration with our stakeholders is essential to the long-term growth and success of our company. We engage regularly with the various stakeholder groups, enabling us to take their needs and expectations into account when shaping our CSR policy.
