Driven employees
A driven, proactive culture achieved through inspiring, helping and challenging each other to do better every day.
Jos van Loon started out as a catering butcher at Jan Louwers' wholesale centre, Eindhoven, in 1971. Ever since then, Van Loon Group has continued to grow - organically and through targeted acquisitions - into a leading, innovative Dutch producer of the most flavourful, sustainable meat and convenience products.
Our head office is in Son en Breugel. Our company consists of three divisions and produces meat and convenience products at nine production locations across the Netherlands. Since 2023, we have held a minority interest in Q-Food Belgium. Q-Food is not yet integrated in this report.
Van Loon Group has its own pork and beef supply chains. Working with our livestock farmers and chain partners, we act as chain director to ensure continuous development of chain concepts in the areas of animal welfare, environment and health. Companies in this division supply pork and beef to the processing companies within the Retail & Food Service division, as well as industrial customers.
This division produces a wide range of delicious, high-quality meat products for retail, food service and business-to-business (B2B). Each company in the Retail & Food Service division specialises in a specific area: from processing and packaging fresh products for retail to producing cooked products for food service and B2B.
Together, the Bonfait and Maître companies form the Convenience division within Van Loon Group. These companies produce chilled meals, meal components, salads (including pasta), soups and sauces for Retail, Food Service and Fresh Speciality Shops.
A sustainable, animal-friendly enterprise can only be successfully achieved if this approach is anchored throughout the entire chain. As chain director, we ensure that every link in the chain properly implements the required methods.
We are an entrepreneurial family business from Brabant that has been supplying meat products, fresh meals, soups and sauces to retail, food service and industrial customers in the Benelux for over 50 years.
With approximately 2,400 employees and 9 production locations in the Netherlands and Belgium, we are a leader in translating customer needs into innovative products and sustainable chain concepts.
Together with our customers, we win every day by making the most sustainable, tasty, and healthy meat and convenience products accessible to all.
Healthy and sustainable food should not be a luxury - it should be accessible and affordable for everyone. As a supply chain director, we take on our responsibility in this regard, making our company and our supply chains more sustainable and efficient every day.
We are the market leader in meat and convenience products in the Benelux and a trendsetter in sustainability, innovation, and quality.
Since 1971, we have been asking ourselves how we can do things better. every day. How can we improve cooperation in the chain? How can we produce more efficiently and sustainably? That’s why we keep innovating, testing, and learning. Every day. To offer to our customers and end users the very best.
We look for solutions when others see threats. For this reason, we invest in a culture of entrepreneurship. Our aim is to deliver the best results by coming up with smarter, more innovative ideas every day.
Van Loon Group is a part of society. That means we take responsibility for the world of tomorrow. Shaping the future based on sustainable relationships with colleagues, customers, and suppliers, and always with respect for people, animals, and the environment.
We are proud of our family history. Since 1971, we have been a team of passionate employees who understand that winning can only be done together. As a team, we take responsibility, show decisiveness and perseverance. Therefore, we have exactly what it takes to win together!
We updated our strategic five-year plan at the end of 2022. For each strategic pillar, clear objectives for 2027 have been defined, along with an approach for realising each objective. This strategic plan is incarnated in a programme named STAP-27 (Sustainable Tasty Affordable Products – 2027).
The entire organisation relies on the OGSM system (Objectives-Goals-Strategies-Measures) to monitor progress on this strategic programme. This system defines objectives for each strategy, including actions. These actions contribute to the realisation of the objectives; Goal through Action. Results of the actions are evaluated every quarter and adjusted if necessary.
